Visit to the Eisenhower museum

Dear readers, last Saturday my Father and I flew to Abiline, Kansas and visited the Eisenhower museum. We heard about this museum because my uncle took his family there a few months ago.

In the plane on the way there. My father had an injured back, so I had to help him with some of the physical tasks necessary to prepare the plane for flight.
My father and my apple watches kept warning us that we were in a lout environment. That’s why we wear headsets.
We flew over a nuclear power plant.
We landed at an airport in Abline.

Apparently Elon Musk wasn’t the first person to make electric cars.

Mamie Eisenhower’s wedding dress.

There was a short movie to watch about D-day. My father sat on the benches and watched this movie several times because of his injured back.

There was no captain to explain why Winston Churchill is wearing a bathrobe in this picture.
A WWII refresher display.
The only place in the whole museum that we saw that mentions James Stagg.

I thought this Table was just awesome.

I also thought the map was awesome.

“I like Ike” swag
Shoes and purses owned by Mamie Eisenhower.
I had my picture made with this statue of Esinhower. We didn’t walk over to the place where The Esinhowers are buried because of my father’s injured back.
We went to Subway for supper.
On the way home, we stopped to get fuel in Coffey County, Kansas.
There was an overly friendly airport dog.
My father making his best efforts at movement dispite his injured back.

Thank you for reading.
