Jacques at Wilson’s Creek

Dear readers, this afternoon Jacques asked if we could go on a walk at Wilson’s creek and we obliged. We walked the Old Wire Road Trail and forded Skagg’s Branch because we thought that there would be porta potties on the other side, only to discover that there weren’t. Jacques still enjoyed himself and that’s all that really matters.

Jacques did not enjoy riding in the car but thankfully he didn’t puke.
There was a little bridge on a side path which was a perfect photo opportunity.
Skagg’s Branch, which we forded. J dog was a little nervous but was able to ford with relative ease. My mother was extremely nervous about the whole ordeal but she boldly faced her fears.

“For a fine Sunday in Brookline empties every house of its inhabitants, and all the world appears on such an occasion to walk about and tell their acquaintance what a charming day it is.” – Jane Austen, Northanger Abbey (I substituted Brookline in place of Bath)
