Dear readers, I have dropped the ball on finishing documenting my trip on this blog. I was at V.B.S. all last week. Now I will proceed with my blog.
The closing ceremony of National History Day was a bit stressful. It began with a parade that lasted about an hour. All the students were supposed to walk around the basketball court with their state. Unfortunately, the Missouri students had a hard time staying together. The whole ordeal was very loud because people always screamed whenever they saw themselves on the jumbotron. To see a video that provides a small sample of the parade, click on this LINK.
We spent the next three hours listening to a lady call out winners. My posture continually worsened as these three hours wore on.
Once the ceremony was finally over we drove to Alexandria Virgina and went on a nice two mile walk along the Potomac River. It was nice to have a low key afternoon.
