Dear readers, recently my mom told me that I needed to get a crossbody purse to prevent theft. She took me to Kohl’s to shop. I didn’t like any of the purses for sale. They were all either too big or too small, most of them had the logo of a designer on them, and the colors were not to my liking. I decided that what I wanted was a custom made purse.

The purse was made to the same dimensions as my mother’s purse that she got as a birthday present from herself. To watch a video of her opening her gift, click on this LINK.

Since the purse was custom made, I got to choose what design I wanted on it. The floral design was inspired by the image below.

The floral decal was designed on the Cricuit app, as pictured above then cut out on the circuit machine pictured below. The decal was too wide to fit on the Cricuit mat, so it was cut in two parts.

The back of the purse features a pocket made from the same fabric as the lining.

In between the outside layer and the lining, there is very stiff interfacing. This is what gives the purse its structure and makes it stand upright. The zipper allows the purse to close.

I like having a custom made purse because it is exactly how I want it to be. I got to choose the colors, the size, and the design.
